London: An Indian man, who fled to India in 2017 after a sexual assault on a woman in the UK, has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for the rape.Ajay Rana, 35, was found guilty of raping the woman in the back of his housemates car in the town of Lowestoft in Suffolk, eastern England, after offering her a lift on December, 9, 2017.He then fled to India on December 13 claiming he was visiting his mother who was ill. He was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court in Suffolk after being found guilty of rape following a two-week trial and was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely."The police investigation commenced following a calculated and sustained attack committed on an innocent victim, who has been left traumatised by the callous actions of this offender," said Detective Chief Superintendent Eamonn Bridger, the Senior Investigating Officer for Suffolk Police."This was a complicated investigation that was progressed with great haste despite the challenges presented by an offender who fled the country after the attack.
The investigation team worked tirelessly over many months to ensure the individual did not escape justice and I am proud of the work they produced to reach the right outcome for the victim," Eamonn Bridger said.By the time UK police identified him as a suspect in the days after the attack, having traced the vehicle he was driving during the attack, Ajay Rana had China Wholesale PPR FITTING Suppliers fled to India.Once he was traced to Spain, he was detained by the Spanish police in Bilbao last October on a European Arrest Warrant and was extradited to the UK in November last year after approval from the Spanish courts.During the trial, it emerged that the victim - a woman aged in her 30s - was offered a lift by Ajay Rana, saying it was cold and he had just given a lift to two other people, and she accepted. He stopped the car further down and raped the victim in the vehicle. She then managed to get out of the car and ran away to a friends house nearby to get help, following which the police were called.
A major investigation was launched and officers pursued a number of lines of enquiry, including forensic work, along with CCTV and house-to-house enquiries, Suffolk Police said.In a statement read to the court, the victim said the attack "will haunt me for the rest of my life".The victim said she had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, had begun self-harming and suffered regular flashbacks, despite receiving counselling."I am so angry that he has done this to me, and [the case] brings it all flooding back and the emotions hit me like a roller coaster," she said.Ajay Ranas car was traced and found to be registered to one of his housemates and he was a named driver on the insurance. On attending Ajay Ranas home address and speaking with friends of the suspect, officers were told that he had left for London, saying that he had to go to India as his mother was ill.Police officers located some of Ajay Ranas earphones that he had left behind and were then able to match DNA from them with swabs taken from the victim.
A CCTV analysis was able to locate Ajay Ranas car driving the route through the town as described by the victim and place him in the relevant locations, at times corresponding to when the victim first got into his car and when the attack occurred.Officers from Suffolk Police then began proceedings to extradite Ajay Rana from India and also issued a European Arrest Warrant, which would allow for him to be detained if he attempted to enter another European Union (EU) member state and he was ultimately arrested in Spain and extradited.Ajay Rana has been remanded in custody in the UK since November last year and will now serve a seven-year sentence at the end of which he is expected to be deported back to India."The criminal justice process is never easy for victims of crime, but the victim in this case has shown bravery throughout and continues to be supported by officers and support agencies. I hope that today will bring some kind of closure and allow her to move forward positively in her life," said Chief Superintendent Eamonn Bridger."Whilst attacks of this nature are rare and Suffolk remains a safe county to live in, this is a further example where the Constabulary has risen to the challenges of modern policing to continue to deliver a highly tenacious and professional service for the public it serves," Bridger said.

Narrowing down to the right car is clearly a task in itself. While it is easy for those who have already zeroed in on a car irrespective of its age and features, people who want cars that are 'current' often face this dilemma. For starters, most new cars attract long waiting periods. Take the Maruti twins, the Brezza and the Baleno, for example - both have waiting periods that span up to eight months! When the EcoSport was first introduced, buyers had to wait for up to a year to get their hands on one.2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift Shows Its FaceCan’t wait for this long What is the alternative You can go for the facelifted version of a newcomer's rival. Not all cars in a particular segment have similar model cycles, which is usually five years.
For example, Maruti Suzuki's debutant sub-4m SUV came in March 2016, while Ford India’s number cruncher — the EcoSport was launched in 2013, almost three years before the Suzuki. Soon, we’ll have the mid-life update of the EcoSport and it will possibly have everything along with a fresh new face that the current version lacks in comparison to the Brezza.
The same is applicable to others as well. The next-gen Verna is coming next year and Honda will launch the facelifted City to fend off the Hyundai. Notably, the next-gen Verna might will attract a big waiting period initially, while the equally competent updated City might be readily available.Next-Gen Hyundai Verna: What To ExpectToyota Camry Hybrid (2015) - Expert ReviewIn terms of design, sometimes a facelift brings a world of difference in the aesthetics of a vehicle. If you look at the older Toyota Camry and the facelifted Camry, the new face has altered the car’s character completely. The latter looks flamboyant and sportier compared to the former. Similar is the case with the discontinued Ford Fiesta, the new Aston Martin-esque grille in the facelifted version made it look as if it had gone through a generation change. Fiat did the same thing with the current Punto EVO.Several times facelifts have also rectified prime setbacks in a particular model’s sales. Mid-cycle update or a facelift, as the name indicates, usually comes in between two-three years after the model first went on sale.
Manufacturers listen to the complaints and suggestions from the existing owners and follow the direction where the vehicle’s peers are heading, then make suitable amendments in the facelift. Take the updated Honda ppr stop valve Amaze for example, the previous Amaze had a very utilitarian dashboard which also lacked several key features. However, post the arrival of the Figo Aspire, the Hyundai Xcent and others, Honda completely re-imaged the 2016 Amaze’s dashboard and added new features as well. Moreover, subtle design changes along with its same potent mechanicals made the updated Amaze a competing product in the segment. On the flipside, facelifts occasionally make the vehicle look less enticing than its older avatar. Taking the mid-life update of the Verna into account. To many, the Fluidic Verna looked way better than the new Verna 4S. And the latter failed to excite the sales chart again unlike the previous one, despite having almost everything its arch rival and segment leader — the Honda City has to offer. All in all, buying a facelifted model in the wake of a newer hot selling model is not a bad idea. What you get in the package are almost similar features and proven mechanicals. If you go through the user reviews, you can also get to know the problems that you might face in that vehicle, as it has been in the market for past few years. Else book the hot-selling one and wait endlessly till it gets delivered!Source: Car Dekho

The owner put the car in autopilot after he suffered a massive attack of pulmonary embolism.Joshua Neally, a US citizen, was driving in his Tesla Model X from office to home when he began getting breathless after suffering from a massive attack of pulmonary embolism. He started suffering with immense pain in his stomach and chest immediately after pulling onto the highway. But instead of calling for an ambulance to help him, he switched the car into auto pilot mode and decided to find a hospital by depending on the car’s self-driving mode.
A lawyer by profession, 37-year-old Neally managed to steer his Tesla to arrive at the road leading to the hospital’s emergency department. The incident was reported by Slate, which mentioned Neally driving from his office in Springfield to Branson in Missouri, which is a 45-minute drive. He was on his way home to celebrate his daughter’s fourth birthday when the incident took place. The report mentioned that Neally steered his luxury SUV, the Tesla Model X, in rush-hour traffic on Highway 68 when he turned on the auto-pilot mode.
Tesla’s Model X has a unique feature that allows the car to pilot it, which includes braking, accelerating and steering to an extent, usually during long stretches of freeway driving. In a previous incident, a driver named Joshua Brown, was killed in crash in Florida when he used a similar car in auto-pilot mode. Though Tesla’s car with an auto-pilot feature is not a true-self-driving car, the technology is being developed to help replace humans as drivers with the help of software.Neally was around 5 miles away from the office when he started witnessing the usual traffic on his route.
After a few minutes, he started getting very uncomfortable about an excruciating pain in his abdomen, moving upwards towards his chest. "It felt like "a steel pole through my chest,†said Neally. He called his wife immediately and told her that he was heading to the emergency room, but does not remember anything after that. On arrival to the hospital, the doctors in Branson toll Neally that he suffered from pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal obstruction of a blood vessel in his lungs.
Slate further reported, ‘If you ask Neally, however, he’ll tell you he was lucky to be driving a Tesla. As he writhed in the driver’s seat, the vehicle’s software negotiated 20-plus highway miles to a hospital dc solar home light system just off an exit ramp. He manually steered it into the parking lot and checked himself into the emergency room, where he was promptly treated. By night’s end he had recovered enough to go home.’

The world is full of expensive cars but some these lean, mean machines are the emperors of the road. And needless to say, they cost a bomb. Check out some of the most highly priced cars in the world.Bugatti Chiron, $2.7M This two-seater sports car is mid-engined and manufactured and developed in France. The car is named after Wholesale power inverter Suppliers the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron. It has a carbon fibre body structure along with an independent suspension. For the rich and adventurous adrenaline junkies, this is surely an apt car. This powerhouse is a dream to drive, with fluid steering, seamless handling and enormous power under the hood.
Topping out at 420 kmph, the Chiron speeds from 0-60 in a mere 2.5 seconds, thanks to an eight litre, 16-cylinder engine pumping out 1,479 horsepower.Lykan Hypersport, $3.4M This car is unique in terms of its transmission, suspension and look. At a whopping price the Lykan HyperSport was the third most expensive car at the time of its production. The HyperSport is the first car to have headlights with embedded jewels; they contain titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds. The Lykan HyperSport is equipped with forged aluminium wheels with diametres of 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. The brakes are ventilated ceramic composite discs, with a diameter of 380mm each and utilising six-piston aluminium callipers at the front and rear. Aston Martin One-77, $1.4M There was a limited run of 77 cars, forming part of the name One-77.
This machine can do wonders. With a cost that can only be afforded by a mega-rich customer’s wallet, and an engine that produces one of the highest speed records, this car will definitely turn heads. Employing the classic formula of double wishbones at each corner, the One-77 features inboard suspension front and rear, with pushrods employed to transfer vertical suspension movements to the horizontally mounted spring/damper units. A practice taken directly from racing car designs, the body of this car is truly unique. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, $4.5MThe model name comes — according to the old Lamborghini tradition — from a Spanish fighting bull named Veneno, who killed the torero José Sánchez RodrÃguez in 1914 during a bullfight in the arena of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. This monster produces speed beyond belief. This car is limited to nine worldwide.
In terms of performance, the roadster corresponds to the coupe, but for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, the cabriolet requires 2.9 seconds to be four tenths of a second longer than the closed variant. The main reason for this is the higher weight. The Veneno Roadster has no roof. F12 Berlinetta, $2.5M This car has been produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. It is based on the most powerful GT car that Ferrari currently sells, the F12 Berlinetta. The 6.3-litre carries on unchanged, but visually the car has received a very thorough overhaul.
A notable feature is the aero bridge, an air channel running from the bonnet, through the flanks and along the sides of the vehicle, creating an effect that increases down force. Another feature is active brake cooling ducts, which open to direct cooling air only when the brakes are hot, keeping them closed at other times to reduce aerodynamic drag.
